While questing in the vicinity, if your screen begins to tremble, look out for Storm Giants, they will make very short work of you very quickly if you are in their way.

After you land, turn in The Explorers' League Outpost and take Problems on the High Bluff. Speak to Walt to turn in the quest and pick up Tools to get the Job Done and Trust is Earned. Search nearby for a Loose Rock to get a [Fjord Grub]. At the outpost next to Hidalgo the Master Falconer, you'll find falcons in cages. Interact with one to feed it and turn in Trust is Earned and pick up The Ransacked Caravan.

Head west towards (68,64), on your way there loot any [Fjord Grub] from Loose Rocks you find. Use your [Trained Rock Falcon] to complete The Ransacked Caravan. Turn the quest in back at the Outpost (75,65) to get Falcon Versus Hawk. Head west again and use your Falcon on the Fjord Hawks you find, they are flying around or resting on rocks. The hawks come in pairs so after capturing one, you'll usually have to kill the other one.

Go back to the Outpost at (75,65) and turn in Falcon Versus Hawk and pick up There Exists No Honor Among Birds. A short distance southeast of the Outpost you'll find the Vyrkul Roost at (77,68). Use your [Trained Rock Falcon]. Once you take control of the Falcon, search the cliff side for eggs and use:

• (1) Scavenge to loot eggs
• (2) Soar to move quickly to new eggs or escape
• (3) Escape to escape from Fjord Hawk Matriarchs

When you're done right click the Hawk Hunting buff to regain control of your character. Head north to Ivald's Ruins at (78,48) and pick up the quest Out of My Element? Complete this along with Tools to Get the Job Done in the ruins. You'll find the [Building Tools] at (79,47) on the wood platform below.

Turn in Out of My Element? to Donny back at (78,48) and then go back to the Outpost at (75,65) and turn in There Exists No Honor Among Birds and Tools to Get the Job Done. Take the new quests We Have the Technology and We Can Rebuild It.

Keep any [Shoveltusk Meat] you obtain from killing Shoveltusks. You will need 6x[Shoveltusk Meat] for a future quest that comes soon and doing this step now will save you some time later.

Head northwest towards Nifflevar and on your way kill Shoveltusks until you get a [Pristine Shoveltusk Hide] and 6x[Shoveltusk Meat]. In Nifflevar, you'll find the [Large Barrel] outside a building at (67,55). Now go north to Baleheim and at (64,40) you will find [Industrial Strength Rope] also outside a building. Kill Winterskorn mobs until you have a [Steel Ribbing].

Use your [Hearthstone] to return to Valgarde or you can ride back to Nifflevar at (65,57) and use the Large Harpoon Lever again to surf back. In Valgarde, speak to McGoyver again at (60,61) to pick up [Dark Iron Ingots] and then have him fly you back to the Explorer's League Outpost.
